A Soup’er Bowl Bash will be held on Sunday, February 1 from 11 am to 1 pm at St. Cahterine’s Church Hall in Indianola.

(Grand Island, Neb.) – Central Community College has announced the names of full-time students who earned spots on the President’s and Dean’s honor lists for the 2025 fall semester. The students were enrolled at one or more CCC locations, which include the Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings campuses and Holdrege, Kearney, Lexington and Ord centers.

Mike Trader’s Annual Mid-America Basketball Camp will conduct eight individual sessions this summer. The overnight and commuter camps for boys and girls will be held on July 6-9 at Doane University and July 20-23 at Central Community College in Columbus.

KEARNEY – More than 600 students from 100 high schools across the state will participate in the annual Honor Band and Choral Clinic at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Presented by the UNK Department of Music, Theatre and Dance, the event provides advanced musical instruction and performance opportunities for outstanding band and choir students.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission approved grant award recommendations for the Land and Water Conservation Fund Stateside Assistance Program and the Recreational Trails Program at its meeting Jan. 23 in Lincoln.

Levi Watson and Zack Kerner have been friends for ages. Classmates at Arapahoe, the two graduated there in 2016, went their separate ways in college, but both moved back to the area in 2020.
