Wolfes congregate in Cambridge

Body
On Saturday, August 5, the Byron and Etta Wolfe ‘brood’ met in the Cambridge Community Building for a day of reminiscing, eating, laughing, and just enjoying the day – and eating! With the sky –rocketing cost of postage (gasp!) rather than mail reminder the WOM (Word of Mouth) system was used to spread – the word that our reunion would be August 5th! THAT pregnant idea ended in a miscarriage with fewer arrivals than hoped for (and some of them were late!) Those that were ‘on time’ enjoyed nursing very few labor pains as Myron Guthrie (whom delivered his mother in her car), had the tables and chairs ready and waiting for those wanting to sit, (and eat!) As per usual, Connie Holliday brought her luscious cinnamon and dinner rolls. Ashley Bruening brought a variety of flavored popcorn.

75 years later, a look back at the construction of the Medicine Creek Dam

Body
For centuries, the Medicine Creek watershed has been a utopia for man and animal kind. Wild game roamed the region, and flora flourished throughout the valley. Prehistoric humans coveted the watershed as a land of promise and life. Even Buffalo Bill treasured the Medicine Creek area, for it was one of his favorite hunting haunts. However, nothing lasts forever.
