The 39th annual Orleans Applefest will be on Saturday, October 7 at the Harlan County Fairgrounds. There will be a vendor show, parade, food vendors, face painting, horse drawn carriage ride, the museum will be open, apples, cider and pumpkins.

Turtle races are returning for another year at Eager Beaver Days on Saturday, September 16 in Beaver City. The races will be at 1 pm at the Beaver City Park and will have different heats.
