MANCHESTER, NH (05/16/2023)-- Crystal Basnett of Oxford (68967) has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s Winter 2023 President’s List. The winter terms run from January to May.

CURTIS, Neb. (May 17, 2023) Friends, family, and supporters filled the Curtis Memorial Community Hall with pride and anticipation as the Class of 2023 entered at 1:30 p.m.

Whenever I brag about the students at NCTA, I really mean what I say. We have some great students on campus who recognize the value of their education in preparing them for the workforce. Many will continue their education at a four-year institution, but the foundation they have laid at NCTA makes them a stronger and more prepared student at the next level.

Zoey Evans, a senior at Elwood High School, has been selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship awarded by the Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO). Twelve $1,000 scholarships were awarded to the children of Nebraska county officials and employees.

Click It or Ticket Campaign Reminds Drivers: Buckle Up May 22 - June 4, and Every Day This Memorial Day weekend, and every day, law enforcement is urging drivers to buckle up during the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) national Click It or Ticket high-visibility enforcement effort. The national seat belt campaign, which coincides with the Memorial Day holiday, runs from May 22 to June 4, 2023.

LINCOLN, NE (05/22/2023)-- The University of Nebraska-Lincoln conferred a record 3,753 degrees during commencement exercises May 19 and 20. The Bob Devaney Sports Center hosted a ceremony for students earning graduate and professional degrees May 19; Memorial Stadium hosted a ceremony for undergraduates May 20; and the Lied Center for Performing Arts hosted a ceremony for law graduates May 20.

KEARNEY – More than 2,500 University of Nebraska at Kearney academic merit and leadership scholarships have been granted to 2023 graduates from Nebraska and out-of-state high schools. The total value of the awards is $13.5 million yearly.
