Arapahoe Council moves ahead with Downtown Revitalization Project

Body
The Arapahoe City Council voted to move forward with the Downtown Revitalization Final Plan during their regular meeting on the evening of Tuesday, May 9. Jess with Olsson’s was in attendance and stated they had their workshop last month to tweak the final plan and there were not a lot of changes. There was some moving of planter boxes, which are marked out. They also met with DOT and went over items of concern. One was the pumphouse – the state does not want anything of substantial height that would block sight ways. Another was the crosswalks. The state wanted it known that there could be a bump with the asphalt going over concrete and that DOT will not fix it if that happens. Council felt that a bump would not be a problem. A third item was the state sign cluster near Faw’s. They would still need to have signs up there or near that spot.
