CAMBRIDGE - The Cambridge Board of Education met Monday Shari Becker of the Nebraska Association of School Boards to discuss the final steps and select the candidates to interview in its search for a new school superintendent.

Veterans from around the area, along with family, friends, and community members were on hand for the Flag Raising Ceremony held in Holbrook on November 11th. This recently established Veterans Memorial will be part of the Purple Heart Trail, which stretches across the United States and Guam.

At its annual Veteran’s Day service Friday, Cambridge Public Schools honored four veterans from the area and heard a keynote address from Nathan Witt, an army chaplain who was wrapping up deployment to Jordan. The program also includes patriotic musical numbers from K-12 students as well as the high school band.
