With two seats open for the Elwood Village Board, Sharlette Schwenninger received 245 votes and write-in candidate Kurt Banzhaf has accepted the position on the board. A benefit is being held for Shelli Farr, 31 years old, to be held November 25 as she has suffered multiple health issues.

ARAPAHOE - During the almost two-hour regular meeting on November 14, 2022, the school board conducted business on several agenda items. Elementary Principal Benjamin Ellis shared that he and Principal Perez along with several staff members attended a Nebraska Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS) conference last month in Kearney.

The Arapahoe-Holbrook FFA held their Bull Fry and Labor Auction on Friday night at the school. (Top photo) Some members served fish, bull fries, roast beef, baked potato and beans to a large crowd. (Bottom photo) These members greeted guests as they came in. Later on Mark Hamel of Heartland Partners was the auctioneer for the slave auction.

MNB insurance &; MNB realty donate $1500 to Backpack Program in arapahoe

Casie Helms, Arapahoe-Holbrook Public School Backpack Program Director, accepts a $1500 donation on November 9, 2022, from Mark Stagemeyer, Jared Shafer, Paige Hyke, and Laura Frink of MNB Insurance Services, Inc., and from Kate Warner of MNB Realty to go towards the school’s Backpack Program. Children signed up for the Backpack Program are provided with nutritious and easy-to-prepare food and snacks when other resources may not be available, such as weekends and school vacations.
