Beaver City Council to Hold Special

BEAVER CITY – The city council will hold a special meeting on Friday evening, October 28 immediately following the planning commission meeting at 6:30 regarding a proposed commercial business owned by Austin Steer and located on lots 16 &17 in block 44. Upon the recommendation of the planning commission, the city council voted to hold the special meeting during their regular meeting on October 17, 2022.

A fairy tale season it has been for the 2022 Little Eagles Football team. Consisting of 4th-6th graders from Southern Valley, the team is made of 18 players. The Little Eagles are coached by Michael Bose, Dan Hunt, Derek Ehrke, Brian Beighler, Josh Lanik, and Mitchell Schultz. Their season opener was against their school rivals, the Alma Cardnials. Southern Valley took the field with fight in their eyes, and it showed.

In battle battle of RPAC leaders, Cambridge downs Southwest

BARTLEY - In a final tuneup before the RPAC Tournament begins Thursday, the Cambridge and Southwest volleyball teams squared off Tuesday in a triangular with Hitchcock County. While both teams swept their way past the Falcons (620), the third meeting between the Roughriders and Trojans served as the main event in the night cap. But after all the diving digs, stuff blocks and rocket kills, the result still read the same as the previous two meetings. Cambridge took a 25-14, 25-19 victory, their third over Southwest this season.
