10 years ago Three Cambridge students headed to Cornhusker Boys State this summer are: Seth Cope, David Steinkruger, and Austin Rice. Grand Island High School served as host for the 2012 SONE West Central Track and Field Competition on Saturday.

10 years ago The Elwood FCCLA Chapter held their annual banquet on Thursday evening. Following the meal Karen Finkin became the 2012 Honary Member.

10 years ago Dennis Troester has been a long time P.E. teacher and volleyball coach and Ron Casper the only high school social studies teacher.

Wildfires have consumed huge quantities of hay and forage resources in southcentral and western Nebraska. As livestock producers wait for needed rains and delayed pasture recovery, local ranchers and agri-businesses are seeking to link hay and forage resources with those experiencing forage losses due to the severe wildfires.
