President Teter called the regular meeting of the Southwest Public Schools Board of Education to order at 7:30 p.m. on March 14, 2022 at the Southwest Elementary School in Indianola, with all board members present, Superintendent Porter and Principal Springer. ARAPAHOE – The Arapahoe-Holbrook school board held their regular meeting on March 14, 2022. Among those in attendance was Benjamin Ellis, who currently teaches at Alma Elementary, and has accepted the position to serve as Elementary Principal at Arapahoe-Holbrook for the 2022-2023 school year.

10 years ago Rachelle Clason of Beaver City, Marcia Foley, and Nathan Goshert of Arapahoe are making plans to go to Africa in July to help Missionaries Brad and Ellie Harris with their Bible School program. NEA’s Read Across America was celebrated last Thursday morning with the Arapahoe sixth grade reading to Kindergarten class.

10 years ago Brittany Fattig, Tandia Remmenga, Brittany Kussman, Mikaila Smith, and Taylor Gydesen participated in the Women in Science Conference at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln sponsored by the Nebraska’s Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research. Top five student spellers at the 2012 Gosper County Speiling Bee were Amber Nelson, Paige Arnold, Clara Lauby, Katie Klein, and Aaron Clouse.
