Gary Schroeder, of the Museum of Oxford, hosted Chris Weide from Glenwood, Iowa last Wednesday, August 25. Weide and his wife Catherine stopped by the museum to see some particularly rare glass soda bottles that he had never seen the likes of before. The bottles were specific to the railroad to serve to passengers, but these were not used and very few were actually made.

Beaver City – Eager Beaver Day is on track with some minor changes this year. The changes will accommodate Husker football and allow people to support vendors after the game.

On September 8 Don Woodruff turns 100, and what better gift for a WWII veteran than a flight in a Boeing Stearman biplane. He took the flight on Friday, August 27, 2021 as part of the Dream Flight program. He was approached by the activity director at the Alma nursing home to see if he was interested. He said he was. When asked about what he thought of the flight he said he “had a good time”.
