It has taken years, but the Village of Holbrook succeeded in tearing down seven buildings on the west side of Center Street. The fi ve buildings to the south have been abandoned for twenty-plus years with the roofs falling in and the fl oors caved away, making any salvage impossible.

10 years ago Bill and Joy Deterding of rural Cambridge were the recipients of KRVN Radio’s Harvest Break lunch on October 6 at the farm. Joy entered the radio contest where KRVN host Dewey Nelson and Associates delivered a Skeeter Barnes harvest lunch to the Deterding crew.
