Phelps County R-4 school

Body
I got a little nostalgic the other day and decided to visit Phelps County R-4 School where I used to teach sixth through eighth grades in 1975- 77. R-4 is located ten miles north of Holdrege and then two miles south on RD 742. The school has been closed now since 2009 and sits abandoned at the crossroads of two county roads. At the time I was teaching we put out the only annual that the school ever produced. It included a school history written by Mike Olson that I would like to share in this brief overview of the school.
