Cambridge City Council hears update on Land Bank project

Body
Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, July 19, 2021. All Council Members were present for the meeting. After approving the consent agenda, John Kutnink and Larry Maatsch spoke about the updated ambulance bid. In the bid presented to the Council, the quoted ambulance price would be $222,730 and would include a stair chair, an air handling system, and storage for the portable oxygen. This bid would have to be approved by the end of the month or the price would increase. Kutnink and Maatsch also spoke about a seven-year contract with Stryker for a cot and power load. This would be an additional cost, but would include service and yearly inspection. Council members discussed how to fund the ambulance and it was decided that Kandra Kinne, City Clerk/ Treasurer, would find out how much of the project could be funded through the Public Safety Bond. Council then made a motion to approve the bid. The motion passed.
