He was riding in a vehicle driven by his wife, Romona who had slowed down because of a pickup did not slow down in time was turning left rear-ended the Sughroue vehicle.

Haussler retires after 38 years as Executive Director of Arapahoe’s Housing Authority, Sunshine Village

Residents of Sunshine Village gathered together on June 30th to honor Cindy Haussler and Diane McCoy as they retire after several years working for the Arapahoe Housing Authority. Cindy Haussler was hired as the Executive Director of Arapahoe Housing Authority on August 1, 1983. She successfully served in her position for 38 years! That is a great accomplishment and a testimony to her people skills and management expertise.
Cindy Haussler (left) retired recently from the director position of Sunshine Village and her secretary Diane McCoy also retired from her position. A party in their honor was held a week ago Wednesday at the Blue Room with residents and guests joining in the celebration. Cindy has been the director since 1983. Diane has been her assistant for 15 years.

Pool Cool resumes in Southwest Nebraska

Pool Cool is returning to Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) after being put on hold several years ago. This program works with swimming pool staff to provide education about skin cancer and ways to prevent it.

The residents of Sunshine Village held a Retirement Party honoring Cindy Haussler and Diane McCoy on their last day of work, June 30th. The Blue Room was beautifully decorated with the center of attention being the cake table. The residents living there the longest acted as hostess with greeting and serving the cake and punch. A fun evening was had.
