Oxford Residents part of TFC Missions

Teens For Christ Connection (TFC) of Phillipsburg, Kansas recently returned from a 12 day mission trip to Cary, Mississippi. TFC has been taking teenagers on mission trips since 1986 and the first mission trip was to Cary, MS! In fact, 2 of the staff members leading the trip were teenagers on those early trips to Cary. Rob Lewis of Oxford, NE and Brian Fischer of Phillipsburg, KS. And Lavonne Ponstein was a staff member both then and now!

Beaver City Council sets 2022 water fees

BEAVER CITY – The regular City Council meeting was held on July 5, 2021, with Mayor Leighton Schmidt presiding. Five council members (Quinn Barnas, Kevin Harper, Roger Powell, Russell Rickert, and Becky Robinson) were present, and Chris Joppa was absent.

Prairie Pioneer Days another blast

The 2021 Prairie Pioneer Days kicked off last Friday, July 2md with the Health Fair. The two days of fun ended with a slow pitch softball tournament and firework show at the Arapahoe ballfield the night of Saturday, July 3rd. Pinpoint Communications Hosts Governor Ricketts for Broadband Facilities Tour

Last week, Governor Pete Ricketts joined representatives from Pinpoint Communications for a 1-day tour of broadband-served businesses in Southwest Nebraska in an effort to better understand the direct impact of CARES Act funding. By receiving this funding from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, Pinpoint continued to expand its footprint to serve more overlooked locations in rural Nebraska by providing Fiber- Optic Broadband services up to 10 GB.
