Union Cemetery

Body
There is a small cemetery near Hollinger, Nebraska, just off of highway 89. There is a sign at the cemetery that reads "A patent issued by the United States Government to William H. Harmon on March 17th, 1875 is the first mention of the parcel of land known as the Union Cemetery. Articles of incorporation were filed June 22, 1914 bringing into being the Union Cemetery. The name was selected by William H. Harman. Mr. Harman, who sympathized with the south during the Civil War said, 'We must forget North and South and be one Nation, so anyone can be buried here, we are one Union.' Hence the name became Union Cemetery."

More nice moisture! The Hill received .60 Sunday night and another .17 Monday night. We’ll take it! Actually, from here on out for the next week or two, rain is a mixed blessing. The wheat is ready, or at least near ready to harvest and really doesn’t need rain. The fields are golden and lots of combines cam be seen sitting in the yard, ready to roll. Prayers for a safe, bountiful harvest for all.
