Columbus, Neb. Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) is asking power customers around the state to be wary of scammers trying to take advantage of the recent winter weather and power outages.

The 2nd Annual Baby Crawling contest sponsored by Waypoint Bank was held Thursday, February 18 during half time of the girl’s subdistrict final basketball game between Southwest and Dundy County Stratton. (BEAVER CITY, NE) U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Dillon Breinig in Furnas County today announced that producers who suffered livestock losses due to natural disasters, including extreme cold temperatures, may be eligible for the Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP).

Well, we survived the deep freeze. Temps this week are forecasted to be in the 50’s. That’s 70 degrees warmer than a week ago! Unreal! But, we are grateful for the moisture that did come with the cold. Don’t know just how much, but it was enough to make my yard messy.
