Cambridge American Legion Auxiliary Planning Wreaths Across America 2021

Body
Unit 199 of the American Legion Auxiliary met on Feb. 11 at the Community Building in Cambridge at 2:25 p.m. The Unit has already begun preparing for Wreaths Across America, December 2021, building on the success they had with this project in 2020. 351 Veterans are buried at Fairview Cemetery in Cambridge. Our Unit’s goal is to honor every veteran’s memorial stone with a Wreath. A number of local businesses have already donated and the Unit will reach out to additional businesses and individuals in the community. The Unit will also be seeking volunteers to help with the ceremony and the placement of wreaths in December. It is a great privilege to be a part of this national movement to honor our veterans and teach the next generation about their courage and sacrifice. Wreaths can be purchased for $15.00/each, or donations made to place wreaths for those veterans whose families are no longer available. For more information, contact Sondra Jonson at 308-697-3493.
