The Gosper County Senior Center is NOT open for congregate meals for the remainder of the month of December. The Gosper County Senior Center will continue to serve meals for delivery or pick-up. We are following the guidelines that WCNAAA has suggested for our Center. If you would like to have a meal to pick up or have a meal delivered please call the Senior Center at 785-2500. Oxford - The winners of the Oxford Chamber of Commerce sponsored Christmas decorating contest were first - Tom and Joyce Schoenfelder winning $150, second - Ron and Tish Meyer winning $100, third - Robin Bunce winning $50. Winners were chosen by a public vote. Pictured top is the Schoenfelder home. Pictured bottom is the Bunce home. The lights were not on at the time at the Meyer home at the time of photos.

Funds still available for Oxford housing Rehab project

Oxford Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Funds Still Remain The Village of Oxford has funds remaining for the owner-occupied housing rehabilitation program to rehabilitate 5 homes within the municipal limits of Oxford. Homeowners must live in the home and be income qualified.

CAMBRIDGE - The first baby born at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital in 2021 will be the lucky winner of many gifts from local merchants. The will be the sixty-first baby to claim “The First Baby of the Year” title at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

Valley Voice adds new reporter

CAMBRIDGE - The Valley Voice has added a new reporter to its staff. Guyla Mills, an Ansley native that resided in Lincoln several years before moving to Virginia in 2000 and California in 2004, made a permanent move back to Nebraska this past summer and resides in Wilsonville.

CAMBRIDGE - Mayor David Gunderson presided over the Cambridge City Council regular meeting on Monday, December 21 with all six council members present. Also in attendance were three city staff—Lisa Shifflet (City Attorney), Kandra Kinne (Clerk/Treasurer), and Dave Houghtelling (Utility Supervisor) and two visitors Howard Johnson (Ho Jo’s) and Guyla Mills (Valley Voice).
