Luella Carol Smith, age 90, of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Beaver City Manor. She was born February 20, 1932 to Harry L. and Marie E (Lomax) Martin at the family farm southwest of Beaver City, Nebraska and was the 6th of 9 children.

Florence Elizabeth Uerling, a longtime resident of Indianola, passed away Sunday evening, October 16, 2022 at the Highland Park Retirement Community in McCook. She was 95 years of age. Florence was born on the family farm in Frontier County, Nebraska on September 20, 1927, to Clarence and Esther (Hanthorn) Sughroue. She graduated from Indianola High School in 1945. Florence taught at a country school in Frontier County after graduating from high school. On June 9, 1948, she married Joseph J. “Jerry” Uerling at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Indianola, Nebraska.

Florence Uerling, a longtime resident of Indianola, passed away Sunday evening, October 16, 2022 at the Highland Park Retirement Community in McCook. She was 95 years of age. Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 10AM7PM at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in Mc-Cook. The family will be present to greet friends from 5pm-7pm. A rosary was recited at 7 PM, Wednesday evening, October 19, 2022 at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook.

Willene Kile, 92, of Minden, formerly of the Upland area, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings. Funeral services was held at 2:00 p.m.

Virginia Mae Rice age 86 formerly of Wilsonville passed away at the Holdrege Memorial Home in Holdrege on October 5, 2022. She was born in Scottsbluff, NE on December 20, 1935, to Everett and Marybelle (Fitts) Hall.

Ronald Gene Kruger was born on January 6, 1957 to William Bryan and Betty Louise (Marshall) Kruger in Brush, Colorado. He was one of nine children in this blended family. On April 4, 1981, Ron was united in marriage to Linda Calvin in Mc-Cook, Nebraska. Ron and Linda made McCook their home and soon welcomed their children, Ashley and Adam. Ron worked in the oil fields for many years prior to going back to school and receiving his associates degree and HVAC certifi cation. He owned and operated Kruger Heating and Air, serving families and businesses all across Southwest Nebraska.
