Richard E. Sargent passed away peacefully on October 23, 2022, with his wife, Socorro, by his side, in El Paso, Texas. Born on June 20, 1934, in Indianola, Nebraska, to Willard and Luella Sargent, Richard spent his childhood in farm country. He helped his father run the family hardware store in Bertrand, Nebraska during his teenage years and graduated from Bertrand High School. He briefly lived in Mexico City, Mexico following graduation.

Michael Eugene Allen was born on May 22, 1952 in McCook, Nebraska to John Prescott Allen and Betty Jo (Brady) Allen. He was the fifth of seven children. Mike grew up in Oxford, Nebraska and attended Oxford Schools.

Neal Robert Garey, 96, of Grand Island, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in Grand Island. A celebration of life for Neal will be at the All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island on Saturday morning, November 12, 2022. The family will welcome friends at 9:00 and the memorial service will begin at 10:00.

Ronald Oborne Scharf Sr., age 80, passed away early morning on Friday, October 28th, 2022 at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital, in Kearney, Nebraska surrounded by loved ones. He was born on September 30th 1942 to parents Lloyd Ensel and Dorothy May (Nelson) Scharf in Hermiston, Oregon.

Funeral Service for LoDema J. Ivey will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Holdrege, Nebraska, with Reverend Jan Gluth King and Pastor Murray Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.

Luella Carol Smith, age 90, of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Beaver City Manor. She was born February 20, 1932 to Harry L. and Marie E (Lomax) Martin at the family farm southwest of Beaver City, Nebraska and was the 6th of 9 children.
