Dorothy Esther (Lukens, Babcock) Lamb was born to George Oran and Ella (Hall) Lukens on March 28, 1929, in the family home in Sioux County, Nebraska. She left this life for her eternal home with Jesus on July 5, 2022.

A Memorial Service for Doris L. (Hanson) Hollinger will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Moses Hill Evangelical Covenant Church in rural Loomis, Nebraska, with Mr. Dave Thorell officiating. An inurnment will follow at the Moses Hill Cemetery, following the service.

Myron L. “Tiny” Richardson, age 88, of Stamford, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Colonial Villa Good Samaritan Center, Alma, Nebraska. He was born December 25, 1933 at Akron, Colorado to Ross E. and Mable L. (Young) Richardson.

Lyle W. Steele, fondly known as “Timber” passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the age of 93 at the Elwood Care Center, Elwood, Nebraska. He was born at Holbrook, Nebraska to Cecil and Mila (Scott) Steele on November 19, 1928. He was raised in Holbrook, and attended school there and graduated with the class of 1946. He married Norma Faye Fisher May 29, 1948. Four children were born to this union, Vicki, Judy, Randy, and Rick. Lyle worked for Bill Rankin at the Holbrook Elevator before enlisting in the United States Air Force serving stateside during the Korean War. Returning home he worked for the Kansas Nebraska Gas Company throughout the state. He moved his family back to Arapahoe and worked for Lammel Plumbing and Heating before starting his own plumbing and heating business. Lyle was manager of the Arapahoe Country Club for three years and caretaker at Sunshine Village for ten years before retiring. Lyle loved the outdoors: playing baseball, golfing, fishing and hunting. He was the Boy Scout leader of Troop 236. He always enjoyed singing in the church choir.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Tyler Quinn Christensen will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Holdrege, Nebraska, with Reverend Dr. W. Kirwin Stewart, Jr. and Reverend Jean Clayton, officiating.

Philip C. Kester, 88, formerly of East Moline, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at New Perspective Senior Living in Silvis.

A Mass of Christian Burial for John E. “Jack” Boehler will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Orleans, Nebraska with Father Maurice Current officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery at Orleans with Military Honors provided by the Orleans Harold Morin American Legion Post #184 in conjunction with the United States Marine Corps Funeral Honors Team.

A Memorial Service for Connie Tams will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Stamford, Nebraska with Pastor Thalia Woodworth officiating. A private inurnment will be held at the Stamford Cemetery at a later date.

A Funeral Service for Clarice J. Reed will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Oxford, Nebraska, with Pastor Wes Holen officiating. Interment will be held at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak, Kansas at 3:00 p.m.

Rodney Roy Gilliland, age 74, of Smithfield, Nebraska, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Bryan Medical Center East Campus in Lincoln, Nebraska. He fought a long battle with heart disease. He was born on January 27th, 1948 in Curtis, Nebraska to Edward Howard and Ardis (Nutt) Gilliland.
