Her graveside services was held in Beaver City, NE at Mount Hope Cemetery on August 4, 2022, at 2 pm CDT. Max Eugene Tomlin age 95 of Cambridge, passed away at the Beaver City Manor on Friday July 29, 2022. He was born in Indianola, NE on May 27, 1927, to Walter and Charlotte (Barnett) Tomlin. Max attended and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1945. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy September 7, 1944, while still in school. He trained and worked as a radioman in the Navy and was Honorably Discharged on September 6, 1949.

Robert F. Fisher of New Milford, CT passed away peacefully on July 21st at the age of 90. He was born in Edison, Nebraska in 1932 in a farmhouse that had neither electricity nor running water. He was the second youngest of 5 siblings. After graduating from Arapahoe High School, he worked on several farms and on traveling combines harvesting wheat in Texas. Tiring of that, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a signalman during the Korean War. While stationed in Long Beach, California he would meet the love of his life, Dorothy (who was also in the Navy). They married in 1955 and moved to Long Island, New York where they lived until moving to New Milford in 1960 where they raised 6 children and spent the rest of their lives. Dad worked for Century Brass until it closed in 1985 then started his very successful lawn and landscape business from which he ultimately retired. During retirement, he and Dorothy enjoyed traveling and visiting their children and grandchildren. Robert very much enjoyed playing cards with his friends and a yearly visit to Saratoga to play the ponies (at which he was very good). He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in New Milford and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
