Nellie J Ryan, age 86, of Indianola, NE passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Community Hospital in McCook, NE. One of eight children, Nellie was born on June 24, 1936 in Bartley, NE to parents, Frank and Johanna (Schutte) Sughroue. She attended school in Indianola where she also graduated high school in 1954.

Mary Lynne Gydesen, age 61, of Elwood, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Phelps Memorial Hospital, Holdrege, Nebraska. She was born February 9th, 1961, to Donald & Mary (Phillips) Gruber, in Barstow, California.

Doug McCann, age 80, of Edison, Nebraska passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Phelps Memorial Hospital, Holdrege, Nebraska. He was born May 5, 1942, to Howard and Lois (Brawner) McCann at the Oxford Hospital, Oxford, Nebraska.

Hastings resident Dorothy C. Wilson, 93, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022, at College View Assisted Living, Hastings, NE.

Philip L. Wilsey, 68, of Grand Island passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022.

KS. Riley grew up in Norton and was a 2016 graduate of NCHS. After graduation, he attended Manhattan Area Technical College then moved back to Norton. For the last three years Riley has worked for A&N Farms, Inc. The McKenna family wasn’t just an employer to Riley, they were family, Jason, Chandra and the kids meant a lot to him. As a kid, he loved spending time out on the Hager farm with his grandpa and siblings and going on trucking adventures with Drew. Riley also enjoyed hunting, rodeos, and bull riding.

A Funeral Service for Ruth Jeannine Gregg was held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Kearney, Nebraska with Pastor Sean Dougherty and Ruth’s son-in-law, Roger McDermott offi ciating. Interment was held at 2:00 p.m. at the Highland Cemetery in Bertrand, Nebraska.

Deanna G. Stecker, age 72 of McCook, passed away at Kearney Regional Hospital on August 31, 2022 after a courageous, four-year battle for her health. She was born in Cambridge on August 24, 1950 to Loyd and Betty (Johnson) Thompson.

Rex Mishler, passed away peacefully, with his wife by his side on September 5, 2021 following a brief illness. Rex was born in Cambridge, Nebraska on July 26, 1946; the only child of Robert and Wilma Mishler. Memorial service will be September 10, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska with Pastor George Probasco officiating. Garey Funeral Home of Arapahoe, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
