BARTLEY - The Southwest boys basketball team split its first two games of the season, winning 70-57 at Medicine Valley Thursday before dropping a 63-41 decision to Maywood-Hayes Center at home Saturday.

ARAPAHOE - Following a difficult loss to Overton on Thursday, the Arapahoe girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season with a 49-21 triumph over Dundy County-Stratton Friday. The Warriors outscored the Tigers in each quarter and built a 25-12 lead at the half before cruising to the finish.
