Body AMHERST - The Cambridge, Hi-Line and Southwest wrestling teams competed at the Amherst Invite Saturday, earning 13 medals collectively at one of the toughest meets on the schedule. Southwest finished fourth with 95 points, edging Cambridge, which finished fifth.

Body The Southern Valley girl's basketball team had a pair of games last week and came away with two wins over Franklin and Bertrand. Last Tuesday they took on the Flyers of Franklin and won 48-33.

Body ARAPAHOE - Offense came and went for both teams Friday night as the Medicine Valley girls basketball team visited Arapahoe. But for a five-minute stretch in the third quarter, the Warriors caught fire on a 14-0 run that blew open an otherwise tight game throughout.

Body BENKELMAN - The Arapahoe wrstling team finished runner-up and scored 178 points at the Dundy County-Stratton Invite Friday, placing eight wrestlers in the top four of the respective weight classes.

Body BARTLEY - For a half Friday night, the Southwest boys basketball team basically matched Cambridge bucket-for-bucket and point-for-point as the Trojans led Southwest 36-30 at halftime.

Body Last week the Southern Valley boy's basketball team had two games and they went 1-1. They started the week strong against Franklin on Tuesday as they won 46-29. It was tightly contested to start as the Eagles led 11-10 after one period.

Body ARAPAHOE - The Arapahoe boys basketball team found ways to hang around with one of the best teams in the RPAC Friday, but couldn't make enough plays to challenge the lead before wilting late in a 58-34 loss to Medicine Valley.

Body EUSTIS - The Hi-Line girls basketball team fell into an early hole and couldn't dig its way out against a quality foe Thursday night in Eustis. Maywood-Hayes center jumped on the Bulls early, grabbing a 21-4 led in the first quarter, then rolling to a 57-28 victory.

Body EUSTIS - The Hi-Line boys basketball team battled, but couldn't get quote enough stops in a 64-56 defeat to Maywood-Hayes Center Thursday night in Eustis.
