BENKELMAN - The Arapahoe wrstling team finished runner-up and scored 178 points at the Dundy County-Stratton Invite Friday, placing eight wrestlers in the top four of the respective weight classes. Heavyweight Levi Kerner remained unbeaten, pinning his way to the title while Grayson Koller also finished first at 126 pounds.

BARTLEY - For a half Friday night, the Southwest boys basketball team basically matched Cambridge bucket-for-bucket and point-for-point as the Trojans led Southwest 36-30 at halftime. After halftime, the Trojans dictated with defense as they held the Roughriders to 10 points in the second half en route to a 64-40 victory.

Last week the Southern Valley boy's basketball team had two games and they went 1-1. They started the week strong against Franklin on Tuesday as they won 46-29. It was tightly contested to start as the Eagles led 11-10 after one period. Both offenses sputtered in the second quarter as Southern Valley led 17-12 heading into the half.

ARAPAHOE - The Arapahoe boys basketball team found ways to hang around with one of the best teams in the RPAC Friday, but couldn't make enough plays to challenge the lead before wilting late in a 58-34 loss to Medicine Valley.

EUSTIS - The Hi-Line girls basketball team fell into an early hole and couldn't dig its way out against a quality foe Thursday night in Eustis. Maywood-Hayes center jumped on the Bulls early, grabbing a 21-4 led in the first quarter, then rolling to a 57-28 victory.

EUSTIS - The Hi-Line boys basketball team battled, but couldn't get quote enough stops in a 64-56 defeat to Maywood-Hayes Center Thursday night in Eustis. The Wolves closed the first half on a mini-spurt to take a 30-23 lead at the half, then stretched the lead in the third quarter before holding on late for the victory.

FRANKLIN - The Southern Valley wrestling team finished fifth at the 17-team Franldin Invite, scoring 126 points to finish just a head of Alma for sixth. The Eagles had four top four medalists, inlcuding two individual champions at the meet.

CAMBRIDGE - After a tough-to-swallow defeat in the first round of the Cambridge Holiday Tournament, the Trojans’ girls basketball team finished third with a resounding victory over Dundy County-Stratton in the consolation game.

ARAPAHOE - After a tough first round matchup turned the Warriors to the third place game, the Arapahoe boys basketball team finished fourth at the Bob Braithwait Holidat Tournament last week in Arapahoe.
