BLUE HILL - In a head fake of sorts, the Arapahoe football team threw the ball on the first play of Friday’s contest at Blue Hill. The play went for a 65- yard touchdown from Tristian White to Colton Carlson to put the Warriors in front 8-0.

OVERTON - After a frustrating triangular on Tuesday that included a three-set loss to North Platte St. Pat’s, the Cambridge volleyball team hit the road again and clobbered fourth-ranked Overton, sweeping a 25-16, 25-14, 25-23 victory to improve to 6-2 this season.

Tuesday night brought us to the Lexington Invitational on the Johnson Lake Golf Course. We looked good as we battled the hilly terrain and bigger schools. I really appreciated how our girls responded to the hills.

KEARNEY - The Cambridge girls golf team enjoyed great weather and their best rounds of the year at the Kearney Catholic Awarii Challenge last week. Macy Jones (pictured above) finished 11th with a round of 91 while Jordyn Cross shot a 111 and Emma Rasmussen finished with a 118.

LOOMIS - Mixed in with a pair of defeats to Bertrand and another to Franklin, the Hi-Line volleyball team picked up its third and fourth wins of the season last week, defeating Cozad in a triangular Thursday before beating Maxwell at the Loomis 9/11 Tournament on Saturday.

IMPERIAL - The Cambridge girls cross country team took third place and had two top 15 medalists at the Chase County Invite last Thursday. Brenna Deterding led the Trojans with a eighth place finish and Rachel Harris was 15th.
