Body Cambridge and Hi-Line wrestled at the Twin Loup Invite hosted in Sargent on Friday, Dec. 11. Cambridge scored 79 points to finish fifth. Hi-Line followed closely with 74 points for a sixth-place finish.

Body LOOMIS - The Southwest wrestling team started its season 3-0 with duel victories over Arapahoe, Cambridge and Loomis/Bertrand Thursday at Loomis. The Roughriders defeated the Warriors 54-24, earning five pins while also taking four forfeits.
Southwest’s Garrett Latimer helped the Roughriders to three duel victories on opening night.

Body The Southern Valley boys basketball team opened their season with a win against Minden at home on Thursday 46-39. With only two returning starters suiting up, freshman Kamden Bose got the start and was high scorer with 13 points going 3 for 4 from the 3-point line.

Body OVERTON - A rough first half, particularly in the second quarter, sabotaged any chance for the Arapahoe girls basketball team in their season-opening game at Overton Thursday. The Eagles outscored the Warriors 16-2 in the second quarter to blow open a 28-8 lead at halftime.
