The Arapahoe Basketball team held a food collection contest for the students. The winners would get to choose who they wanted to get a pie in the face. The third grade class (above) won by bringing over 200 food items for the Arapahoe Food Pantry. They chose Nolan Meyers and Conner Luke to get a pie in the face. The freshman won in the high school and chose Dillon Bahe and Cord Frink (below) to get a pie in their faces.

The Arapahoe Warrior junior varsity football team traveled to Bertrand on the 5th to take on the Vikings. The Vikings scored first, but the Warriors were quick to answer when Ander Wasenius scored from 4 yards out to tie it up 6-6.

The Arapahoe Warriors junior high football team traveled to Alma on Tuesday the 6th to take on the Cardinals. The Warriors defense provided a spark early when Carl Nordine intercepted a Cardinal pass and returned it to the 26 yard line.

BERTRAND - In similar fashion to a week two matchup with Blue Hill, the Southern Valley football team found itself in a large hole midway through the second of Friday’s contest at Bertrand. But armed with the confidence of that comeback win in week two, the Eagles turned the trick once again.

BENKELMAN - Battling perhaps the top team in the State, the Hi-Line football team proved to be overmatched on Friday as they fell to the hosting Dundy County-Stratton Tigers, 52-0. DCS scored on their second play to go up 8-0 and the Bulls struggled to get much going offensively the entire night.

CURTIS - The Arapahoe volleyball team again fought hard, but a chance for a victory slipped away at the Medicine Valley triangular last week. The Warriors dropped a staright-sets match to the host Raiders, 25-20 and 25-14 while also coming up short in a 11-25, 25-23, 25-18 defeat to Paxton.

PLEASANTON - Facing two more of the giants atop the Fort Kearny Conference, the Hi-Line volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at the Pleasanton triangular Thursday, falling to 9-10 on the season. The defeats to undefeated Pleasanton (21-0) and Elm Creek (13-6) were the fourth and fifth-consecutive losses for the Bulls in a brutal portion of their schedule.

Cambridge splits triangular at Cozad

COZAD - The Cambridge volleyball team took part in a triangular at Cozad last week with a chance to avenge an earlier loss to McCook and take on the host Haymakers as well. The Trojans had no issues in dispatching Cozad in straight sets, but McCook handled Cambridge in straight sets, leaving the Trojans 1-1 on the night and 9-5 on the season.
