Body MCCOOK - At the Cattle Trail Tournament, Southwest, Maywood-Hayes Center and Arapahoe boys basketball teams finished in consolation rounds over the weekend. After a first round win, Southwest dropped their semifinal contest to Medicine Valley Friday, 63-37.

Body Stalder (106), Chase Hamilton (120) and Nate Grilli (190) took third in their respective weight classes. Trey Broeker (285) finished fourth for the Eagles. Sully Bantam (138) and Prestin Horwart (150) each earned victories at the tournament for Southern Valley as well.

Body SARGENT - With four finalists, the Cambridge wrestling team took third place at the Twin Loup Invite in Sargent Friday. Carter Hanes led the Trojans with another first-place finish, improving to 12-0 this season at 150 pounds.

Body ANELMO - With five medalists, the Hi-Line wrestling team finished fourth at the AnelmoMerna Invite Saturday. Parker Schutz led the Bulls with a first-place finish at 144 pounds, pinning his way to the title.

Body MCCOOK - The Southwest girls basketball team found itself in a pair of dogfights over the weekend at the Cattle Trail Tournament, but turned to its defense to pull out a pair of victories, capturing the tournament title.
