ELM CREEK - The Hi-Line wrestling team took on the Elm Creek Invite Friday, finishing eighth as a team while earning three medals. Parker Schutz led the team with a second--lace finish at 126 pounds, dropping a hardfought match in the finals to Sutherland’s Oliver Nutter.

IMPERIAL - Both the Southwest boys and girls wrestling teams traveled to Imperial Saturday for the Chase County Invite. All three girls wrestlers medaled for the Roughriders as Aubrey Seybold finished first at 135 and Ashlynn Latimer and Madelyn Tryon each took second in their weight classes.

ARAPAHOE - With a strong fourth quarter, the Arapahoe boys basketball team erased a deficit and completed a 56-51 comeback victory over visiting Hi-Line Friday. Hi-Line, which fell to 5-7, had led throughout much of the contest, but a corner three from Kade Fisher put the Warriors in front 51-48 with 3:30 to go.

RPAC Championships set for this weekend

Both the wrestling and basketball championships of the Republican Plains Activities Conference will take place this weekend. The basketball tournament, which lasts eight days, will begin on Saturday with first round games in the East being played at Medicine Valley and games in the West division being played at Wallace.
