Steven J. Hosier was born on March 15, 1947, in Oxford, Nebraska, the fifth of five children, born to James and Samantha (Chapman) Hosier and passed away on February 8, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Society - Colonial Villa in Alma, Nebraska at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 24 days. He received education and graduated from Edison Public Schools in 1966. Steve united in marriage to Irene S. Jochem in 1967, who were high school sweethearts and happened to be the only two that graduated in their class. Following high school, Steve and Irene moved to Colorado so he could attend barber school.

Leland M. “Bud” Warner was born September 1, 1929 to Clay and Dessa (Hulen) Warner at Moorefield, Nebraska.

Gregory J. Hays passed away on February 3, 2025 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Vicki Ann Courange was born on April 20, 1955 at St. Catherine’s Hospital in McCook, Nebraska to Victor August Courange and Sharolyn Joan (Bales) Hornkohl.

Charlene Rowley Turner died February 2, 2025 at Hastings, NE. Her parents were Warren and Doris Rowley, living south of Curtis for many eyars.

Katherine Jo (Stewart) Tellus of Cambridge, Nebraska, passed away from complications due to Alzheimer’s on Friday, January 31st, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home in Bloomfi eld, Nebraska. She was seventy-six years old.

William Charles “Bill” Strackbein, age 55, of Overton, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Grand Island Regional Medical Center, Grand Island, Nebraska surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 16th, 1969, in Kansas and then was adopted by Gerald C and Ruth (Urban) Strackbein. He is the Oldest of 3 children.

Helen Joan (Ruppert) Magee, age 92, of McCook, died on January 31, 2025. When God whispered her name and called her to join his heavenly choir for all eternity, Helen was ready and gladly went.

A Memorial Service for Gerald E. Silver will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Daren Popple officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Martin-Horn American Legion Post #66 and the United States Air Force Honors Team, at the funeral home. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

Scott Eldon Orcutt, 58, of Ogallala, passed away on January 27, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska. Scott was born in Fountain, Colorado, on October 17, 1966, to Harold Earl Orcutt and Elva May (Geising) Orcutt.
