CURTIS, Neb. — Graduates of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture were celebrated May 7 during the Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony at the Curtis Memorial Community Center, marking the culmination of two intensive years in preparation for careers across the agriculture and animal health industries.

Members Present: Tom Shoemaker, Darcy Johnson, Jan tenBensel, Jarod Albers, Derek Downer, Jo Lee Ebbers, Lori Harding, Randy Heitmann, Jason Weiss Members Absent: None Others Present: Melissa Jackson Consent Approval of Financials/ Invoices and Minutes and Bills: The Board reviewed the April financials. A motion was made by Jason Weiss, seconded by Jo Lee Ebbers, to approve the financials. Motion carried.

Cambridge Rotary 2026 Scholarship Winners are Mallory Springer, Cambridge High School’s recipient, Annaka Wasenius, Arapahoe High School’s recipient and Houston Billeter was Southwest High School’s recipient. Each student receives a $500 scholarship to the postsecondary school of their choosing. We want to wish each and every one of our recipients the best of luck on their future.

Low water affecting Nebraska boaters this summer

People planning to launch boats in Nebraska this summer should be aware of low-water conditions affecting many reservoirs across the state. Water elevations and ramp conditions can vary signifi cantly from one reservoir to another and may change from week to week.
