UNK announces Dean’s List for 2025 Spring semester

KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney announced students who earned a place on the dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester. Students who are on the dean’s list must have completed 12 credit hours or more of classes with a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale.

Maintenance work will begin on US136, from Edison to Oxford

June 2, 2025 (McCook, Neb.) — Weather permitting, a mill and fill project will begin June 11 on U.S. Highway 136 (US-136), according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Mill and fill is a process of removing deteriorated asphalt in preparation of placing an asphaltic patch to improve the roadway surface and drivability.

Mid-Plains to offer dual-credit courses tuition free

The Mid-Plains Community College Board of Governors approved a plan to offer free tuition for dual credit and early entry classes for the 2025-26 academic year. “MPCC is proud to offer high-quality coursework to high school students inside and outside our service area,” said Kayla Thurman Director of Early Entry and Program Development.
