LINCOLN, NE – Today, the Judicial Nominating Commission for the County Court Judge in the 11th Judicial District provided the following two names for consideration by Governor Jim Pillen: Audrey A. Kingston and Kortnei N. Smith, both of North Platte. The 11th Judicial District consists of Arthur, Chase, Dawson, Dundy, Frontier, Furnas, Gosper, Hayes, Hitchcock, Hooker, Keith, Lincoln, Logan, McPherson, Perkins, Red Willow, and Thomas counties. The vacancy is due to the retirement of Judge Edward D. Steenburg.

Tri Valley Health System announces that Kyleen Klinkebiel, PA-C, will no longer be seeing clinic patients, effective July 31, 2025. After faithfully serving Tri Valley Health System and her patients for 18 years, Kyleen has decided to dedicate more time to her family.

Starting August 5, 2025, Tri Valley Health System will be adopting a new model of care for emergency room and adult hospital patients that will improve patient clinic access, expand clinic hours, and enhance care in our hospital and emergency rooms. BEAVER CITY - An Arapahoe woman was arraigned in Furnas County Court Tuesday morning on charges of First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, Child Abuse, Debauching a Minor and multiple counts of procuring alcohol and nicotine products to a minor.

Weather permitting, a mill and fill project will begin June 3 on U.S. Highway 136 (US-136), according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Mill and fill is a process of removing deteriorated asphalt in preparation of placing an asphaltic patch to improve the roadway surface and drivability.
