There’s a high probability that your grandmother never knew what vaping was. Yet, the origins of vaporization date back to the ancient Egyptian and Greek civilizations.

The Village of Oxford Board of Trustees met on Monday, February 10 at 5:30 pm for their regular meeting. The board held some discussion on a second meeting every month.

The Cambridge Board of Education met on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. All Board members were present for the meeting. After the Pledge of Allegiance and the Open Meeting Law announcement, the Board recognized guests for public comment. Guests included Kevin Banzhaf, who voiced his concerns with the proposed plans presented at the meetings last week. Brock Mowry also voiced his concerns about unknown factors, such as population decline as well as the costs associated with building during uncertain economic times. LaVern Banzhaf was also present.

The word “mindfulness” has been around for some time and means living in the moment. An old saying reminds us to stop and smell the roses. Society has created a movement around this concept. Morning news shows, podcasts, and classes frequently share ideas on how to embrace mindfulness. Yet, the reality of our fast-paced lives often leaves little time to explore mindfulness beyond our daily tasks. A practical approach would be to weave mindfulness into what we already do.

Head Start is an early education program designed to support children (0-5), families, and communities through quality education, comprehensive health and family services and by fostering community partnerships. Head Start is a federal investment program that has been providing quality Pre-K to income eligible children for more than 55+ years.

And we’re back in the deep freeze! As of this writing on Tuesday morning, the ground is almost all white and it is snowing lightly. We’ll see what the rest of the day and tomorrow brings. It will be good for the wheat to have a blanket for protection from the frigid temps.
