Fifty-five years ago, the last person graduated from Indianola High; thus, the class of 1969 is celebrating their 55th Anniversary!

We’ve had rain! Beautiful, wonderful rain! No hail, no wind, no flooding, just a nice slow rain. The Hill received a total of about 1.30” and that seemed to be in the ballpark of most other reports across the general area. And we’ll take more just like it!

Join The Garden Prairie Church for their annual Ice Cream Social on August 18th from 5-7:30 p.m. at the church. Over 20 kinds of homemade ice cream and desserts will be served.

Cambridge Unit 199 of the American Legion Auxiliary met in regular session in the community building with 6 members present. President Marlene Witte called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m.

The Indianola City Council met on August 5th at 5:30 p.m. at Indianola City Hall, and began the meeting by approving the previous minutes, claims, and the June 2024 Treasurer Report.

The Arapahoe City Council met on Tuesday, August 6 at 7:30 pm. The council approved the consent agenda, which included the approval of prior meeting minutes and claims and a new liquor license for Wagner’s Supermarket.

Free School Supplies Curtis Methodist Church Saturday, August 24th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm This is in conjunction with Meet and Greet the Pastor! Same place, Same time Refreshments served and crafts for kids.

Wolfe’s Have Howling ‘Finale’ was held Saturday, August 3rd, at the Cambridge Community Building housing 50 Wolfes – descendants of Byron and Etta Wolfe, and 1 guest! Early in the day found Connie Holliday and son, Royce preparing for ‘the day’ – and it appears, the final reunion.

The Fonner Park State 4-H Horse Expo is the pinnacle experience for members of the Nebraska 4-H horse program. Thirteen year old Lane Welch from Moorefield, NE competed for Frontier County 4-H. He is the son of Megan & Dawson Welch.
