For over three decades, thousands of pioneers traveling westward by prairie schooner trekked through the corner of present-day Gosper County, taking advantage of the pristine drinking water provided in the crystal-clear creeks.

The Arapahoe Deja Blue Choir has received the $25,000 award check from American Endowment Foundation. This money will help fund their trip to Carnegie Hall in May 2025. A few choir members were available to accept the grant.

Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department’s (SWNPHD) annual Walk to Health Team Challenge 2024 was recently completed. The program lasted for 12 weeks and included 285 residents of all ages.

Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. Council Member Mike Harris was absent from the meeting.

The 2024 Frontier County Fair Turtle Race was held Friday, July 26 at 6:00 pm. The race was exciting and competitors brought some fast turtles to try their luck at winning a medal! 28 kids, ages Pre-K through high school, raced turtles in the shade at the fairgrounds in Stockville.
