Peru State College hosts Research and Creativity Expo

(Peru, Nebraska) – Nearly 40 Peru State College undergraduate students recently participated in the College’s annual Research and Creativity Expo held on April 9. The Expo, which was initially established as the result of the College’s strategic plan, began in 2019 to increase student engagement and learning while leading to increased student success.

Jorgenson honored in Who’s Who at Hastings College

HASTINGS, Nebraska (April 26, 2024) - During its day-long Celebration of Excellence April 24, 2024, Hastings College announced its Who’s Who honorees, which are students recognized for having made outstanding campus contributions during their college careers. Up to 10 percent of the graduating seniors may be named to the Who’s Who list, which is determined through a student vote and a student-faculty committee.

Armed Forces Medal of Honor Recipient to be honored

The Medal of Honor is the United States Armed Forces’ highest military decoration and is awarded to recognize American soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen, guardians and coast guardsmen who have distinguished themselves by acts of valor.

4-H Shooting Sports held at Arapahoe

4-H Shooting Sports contests were held on Saturday at the Izaak Walton south of Arapahoe. Several 4-H members enjoyed competitions in archery, trap and bb gun sports. Lunch was provided and awards were given at the end of the competitions.

Academic Scholarships Given to Fifty-Five Students LINCOLN, NE (April 30, 2024) – The Nebraska Cattlemen Foundation (NCF) announced they awarded over $59,000 in scholarships to help the next generation of the agriculture industry in their academic pursuits. The scholarships were awarded to fifty-five distinguished students.
