This year, the University of Nebraska Foundation is channeling the funds they typically spend on mailing holiday greetings to support the four campus food pantries.

Small Town Christmas Friday in Farnam

Small Town Christmas is being held on Friday, December 1, 2023 with Business ‘open house’ being held 1- 4 p.m. There will be children events at the Library, firetruck rides and Santa’s arrival at the Firehall from 4-6 p.m.

Big game meetings scheduled across Nebraska

Hunters and landowners are encouraged to offer their feedback on big game issues during the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s public information meetings this winter. These meetings, which are scheduled in each Game and Parks district, begin at 6:30 p.m.
Eidos Klein, age 15 of Maywood, exhibited the third-place overall breeding ewe at the Cheyenne Livestock Exposition this past weekend. Klein’s ewe was also the all other breeds champion at the exposition.

Eustis-Farnam kick off “Herds”

Eustis-Farnam school kicked off a new community building activity that they are calling “Herds.” Students and staff were mixed into various groupings with a good mix of students grades K-12. They then worked on creating water color snowflakes to decorate the halls for winter! These groupings will be the same for all future Herd activities, so students get the chance to know and work with others that they don’t generally spend time with. Fun was had, connections were made, and now we have some great art to make our school festive!”
