Furnas County Republicans invited to an informational meeting

Registered Republicans of Furnas County are invited to attend an informational meeting on Thursday January 22nd. Officers of the Furnas County Republican Party are hosting those attending at the Beaver City Community Building in Beaver City. Given availability of his calendar, Sen. Dave Murman will update the group on current issues the Legislature is dealing with. Additional information regarding bills that have been introduced to date will be presented.

1/1/26: 911 misdial, Arapahoe; Open line. Had call for 911 hangup and nobody answered. I responded to this area and it was directly next to the tower at that location. I drove around the area and spot lighted and there was nobody that I could observe in that area.

Maywood School Board hires new fourth grade teacher

The Maywood School Board held their first meeting of the new year on January 12 and conducted their business in one hour. All four officers were reelected to their positions on the six-member board for 2026: Marty (President), Sheri Hartley (Vice President), Barbara Fritsche (Secretary), and Jason Johnson (Treasurer).
