The Arapahoe-Holbrook K-6 Christmas program was held last week. A large number of family and friends came out to watch them perform.

Cambridge Unit 199 of the American Legion Auxiliary met on December 11, 2025, in regular session at the Community Building with 9 members in attendance. After Presentation of the Colors, Pledge of Allegiance, Prayer and Preamble, Pres. Witte called the meeting to order at 2:03 p.m.

On December 10, 2025, the Frontier County Sheriff’s Office, along with District 11 Probation, conducted a search of a residence in Curtis, Nebraska. During the search, items were located throughout the residence containing controlled substances and firearms. As a result of the search, Samantha Gardner (AGE: 30) of Curtis was arrested on Charges of: Possessing a Controlled Substance, Possession of a firearm during a drug crime, Possession of a weapon by a prohibited person, and Possession of a stolen firearm.

During the Eustis-Farnam School Board meeting on Monday, December 15, the board renewed the contract for Supt. Nick Hodge for the 2026-2027 school year.

After two years retailing women’s clothing through pop-ups and then online, Cambridge’s Kim Cramer has brought her boutique, Onyx Native, to downtown Cambridge. Cramer said she had always wanted to own and operate a boutique.

Curtis is known as The Easter City, but on Christmas, it has a special tradition, too. When Bryan and Christine Herrick bought the Yellow Rose in Curtis in May of 2013, they began serving a Christmas dinner, originally aimed that those in need.
