The Maywood National Honor Society sponsored a school-wide food drive for the Frontier County Pantry. Through the efforts of the school and community, they were able to reach their goal of collecting 1,000 items. Thanks to everyone supporting the drive. Members include: Steven Werkmeister, Oliver Anders, Joey Small, Taren Sailor, Cali Rutherford, Emma Peterka, Katie Domes, Dallas Grunden, Graci Peterka, Karissa Stengel, Karlee Hatfield, Jaylee Sellers, Adalyn Schurr, and Jillian Johnson.

The Arapahoe-Holbrook Public Schools district is holding a special election for a Tax Authority Override of up to $750,000. With ballots due back January 13, we asked Arapahoe Superintendent Bob Drews to answer a series of five questions to help explains why the special vote was taking place and its importance for the district. The questions and his answers were as follows: 1) Through a series of town hall meetings, the Arapahoe- Holbrook Public Schools district Board of Education and administration has said the district’s financial situation has become strained and budget forecasting indicates the district will need additional tax revenues to meet its current needs. Can you describe the chain of events that brought the district to this situation?
