BEAVER CITY - The results were in Tuesday nigh as voters in Arapahoe-Holbrook Public School District weighed whether or not to allow the district $750,000 in additional tax authority. Over 500 ballots were returned and voters rejected the tax authority override measure by a vote of 262-232.

Former teacher sentenced to jail time, probation

MCCOOK - At a sentencing hearing held in McCook Wednesday morning, Nick High of Bertrand was sentenced to 90 days in jail and five years of probation for crimes committed while he was a teacher at Maywood Public Schools. High will also have to register as a sex offender for 25 years and assessed a $7,500 fine.

Arapahoe Alum Aaron McCoy Hired as Jr & Sr High Principal

ARAPAHOE – During the January meeting, the school board approved the secondary principal contract for Arapaho Alum Aaron McCoy. McCoy, who graduated from Arapahoe-Holbrook in 2008, is currently serving as Activities Director at North Platte Public School.
Aaron McCoy, a 2008 graduate of Arapahoe, was hired Monday as the school’s next 7-12 principal.
