Cambridge City Council discuss ordinance to require homeowners to display house number on homes

Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. All council members were present for the meeting. After the Pledge of Allegiance and the Open Meetings Law Announcement, the council approved the consent agenda. The consent agenda included the previous city council meeting minutes, the claims, the library board minutes, the Planning Commission meeting minutes, and building permits for Dollar General for electric and sewer line work, and for Michael Juliano for a garage.

UNMC announces fall 2025 Dean’s list

The University of Nebraska Medical Center has announced its fall 2025 dean’s list for students enrolled in the colleges of nursing, dentistry, pharmacy and allied health professions. To qualify for the dean’s list, nursing and the allied health students must be enrolled for 12 or more hours during the semester and have a grade point average of 3.75 or above.

Judge dismisses lawsuit against Beaver City, mayors

BEAVER CITY - District Court Judge Patrick Heng has dismissed a lawsuit brought by Beaver City resident and business owner Michael Kelly against the City of Beaver City, former mayor Leighton Schmidt, current Mayor Becky Robinson and former City employee Grant Jorgensen.
