The monthly potluck was held on Monday with 14 residents present. There were no birthdays to celebrate. Bingo will be February 19th with Barb Osiecki as hostess. The March potluck will be held on the 7th. The program on Monday was given by Ilene Collins speaking on Presidents Day and Valentines Day.

Emma Crawford and her daughter, Marilin Crawford of Papillion, NE joined Nathie Ahrens, Lorrie Anderson, Donna McCoy, Fern McCoy and Lelia Haussler in Prairie Pines parlor for Sunday morning worship service. Pastor Joel Rathbun is the minister of the Arapahoe Methodist Church.

The Furnas County Sheriff's Office was selected as a recipient of a K9 harness and first aid kit as part of Running for Heroes event, a 1 mile run that is done in support of fallen K9s. Shown in the picture are back row (l-r) Sheriff Doug Brown, Deputy Cordell Stover, and Deputy Seth Gustafson.

Congratulations Arapahoe FCCLA STAR Competitors Arapahoe FCCLA Members competed in the District 11 STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) competition this February. District 11 FCCLA includes: Arapahoe, Cambridge, Chase County, Dundy County, Elwood, Medicine Valley, and Southern Valley.

SEWARD, NE (02/03/2022)- Olivia Leising, from Arapahoe, Neb., was one of 251 students named to Concordia University, Nebraska's honors list for the Fall 2021 semester. Students who earn a 3.90 GPA or higher while completing at least 12 undergraduate credit hours qualify for the honors list..

The Arapahoe Public Library participated in the National movement called Take Your Child to the Library Day, which is celebrated on the first Saturday in February. Participants received Luau party bags and checked out all the fun things the library has to offer.

Thursday, February 10: Sloppy joes, oven fries, baked beans, bar cookie. Friday, February 11: Ham ball, sweet potatoes, spinach, tapioca.

Students in grades 5th thru 8th participated in the Elwood Science Fair on Friday February 4th. Students were interviewed about their project during the day by the Science Fair Judges.
