Oxford - The Village of Oxford Board of Trustees discussed derelict properties during their meeting on Monday, February 7. The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairperson Mike Minarik.

BEAVER CITIY – The city council met for over two hours for their bi-monthly meeting on February 7, 2022, as they discussed two open forum issues and several agenda items. Kenny Soderlund asked that the council have someone look at the overhead Fire Department Door that is not operating properly.

Stella Minarick was the winner of the Southern Valley Elementary Spelling Bee on Wednesday, February 2 with Anna Hamilton runner-up. Axton Roethke and Bryton Stalder also finished well. The four will compete at the Furnas County Spelling Bee on February 9 in Cambridge at 1 pm.

McCook, Nebraska—Community Hospital and Hillcrest leadership are working on a project to potentially increase the number of certified nursing aides in the McCook area and are inviting others to get involved.
