Southwest School to hold Veterans Day Program

Southwest Public Schools will have their annual Veterans Day Program on Thursday, November 11, at 9:30 a.m. The program will be held in the high school gym in Bartley. All veterans, community, family, and friends are invited and encouraged to attend.

ARAPAHOE - After letters were sent to family and residents of the Arapahoe Good Samaritan Society on Monday, the nursing home and assisted living facility announced plans to close December 31. “The pandemic has put unprecedented stress on the senior care industry, which has forced us to make difficult decisions about how and where we can provide services,” said Nate Schema, Vice President of Operations for the Good Samaritan Society in a prepared statement.

LINCOLN – Today, the Judicial Nominating Commission for the District Judge in the Eleventh Judicial District (consisting of Arthur, Chase, Dawson, Dundy, Frontier, Furnas, Gosper, Hayes, Hitchcock, Hooker, Keith, Lincoln, Logan, McPherson, Perkins, Red Willow, and Thomas counties) provided the following two names for the Governor’s consideration: Chawnta M. Durham and Patrick M. Heng, both of North Platte.

Cambridge Council hears of proposed development

Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, November 1, 2021. Council Member Mike Harris was absent for the beginning of the meeting, but came later. After beginning the meeting, Council approved the Consent Agenda items and appointed Daniel Paisley to the Park Board. Council then approved the Library Board Minutes as reported.
