25 Years Ago October 17, 1996 At the Monday›s Nebraska High School Press Association Convention in Lincoln, Southern Valley was one of five Class C schools receiving an award for its yearbook. The Southeast Sunday School Convention was held Sunday at the Hollinger Church.

Nashville recording artist, Brandon Lay, opens at 7 pm and Phil Vassar cranks out the songs beginning at 8 pm.

George Probasco conducted the church service at First United Methodist Church on Sunday morning in the absence of the Pastor, Joel Rathbun. Watching the service on the video in Prairie Pinies parlor were Emma Crawford and her daughter Marilin, Lorrie Anderson, Nathie Ahrens and Lelia Haussler.
