Arapahoe Public Library opens doors to school programs

Body
After nearly nineteen months, our doors have opened to school programs once again! The children from the Arapahoe-Holbrook Public Schools have returned after a long hiatus due to the pandemic and the library's renovation project. Continuing a long-standing tradition, each month the school brings children from grades Kindergarten through 8th grade to the public library. The younger children are read a story by the librarians. Every single student gets the opportunity to check out a book. Their reactions to seeing the new library space were that of pure joy and wonder.
The picture included here shows how well the design of the new library space is working. In the new community room, children were busy playing with Legos, while in another part of the library, an older student found a relatively quiet area to do her homework.
